Do I need to speak fluent English?
No. A B2 level is enough: you need to hold a working conversation and understand your colleagues, not to be bilingual. Your level is assessed during the phone call with our team, before you enrol — and it is on site, day after day, that English really takes off.
What happens if I am not eligible?
Work & Travel is open to students enrolled in higher education who are available over the summer. If that is not your situation, your plan to go abroad is not over: an internship in the United States of up to 18 months on a J-1 visa, or a work placement in the United Kingdom, remain within reach.
Is the programme guaranteed?
Yes, within the terms of our general conditions of sale: if, despite your responsiveness, your flexibility and your motivation, no job offer matches your criteria of position or location, the programme is refunded in full. You never move forward into the void.
When should I get started?
The 2027 programme runs between 21 June and 31 August 2027. Between enrolment, building your file, applying to employers and the J-1 visa appointment at the embassy, you should count several months: the earlier you start, the wider the choice of job offers.
